The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems, production machinery and plant equipment through effective maintenance, fault-finding and repairs. The role will focus on minimising production downtime while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and equipment reliability.

Minimum Requirements

• Red Seal Electrical Trade Certificate – Essential

• Valid Wireman’s Licence – Advantageous

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

• Experience working with industrial machinery and equipment

• Knowledge of preventative and breakdown maintenance

• Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements

• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure

• Mechanical maintenance experience – Advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and plant equipment

• Conduct fault-finding and attend to electrical breakdowns efficiently

• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems

• Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise production downtime

• Ensure electrical work complies with applicable safety and regulatory requirements

• Perform general plant electrical maintenance

• Identify potential equipment issues and contribute to improved equipment reliability

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report faults or repairs as required

Key Competencies

• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

• Sound technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems

• Good understanding of production and plant maintenance environments

• Safety-conscious and quality-focused approach

• Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns
