Job title: Sales Representative
Work Location: Remote – Regional Johannesburg Area (Central, West, and South Johannesburg)
Division/Department: Retail + Sales
Reports to: Retail Manager
Overall Responsibility:
The Area Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding distribution within the assigned region. This role focuses on building strong relationships with retail
partners to ensure optimal product availability, brand presence, and revenue performance across the portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sales Growth:
● Helping to set regional sales targets
● Achieve and exceed regional sales targets as agreed
● Develop and implement territory sales plans aligned to national business objectives
● Monitor performance against budgets,forecasts, and key sales KPIs
● Managing incentive programme
Client Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with retail partners (in-store consultants + Area Managers, etc.).
● Conduct regular account reviews to ensure growth, stock levels, and promotional execution.
Trade Marketing & Brand Execution
● Drive in-store and promotional activity to increase product uptake.
● Ensure correct product placement, visibility, and merchandising in partner stores.
● Support product launches and seasonal campaigns within the territory.
Stock Management & Order Planning
● Feedback to HO to flag concerns related to stock.
● Monitor sell-through rates, inventory movement, and demand trends.
● Coordinate with internal supply chain teams to ensure timely deliveries
Support & Service Excellence
● Resolve customer queries, complaints, and service issues professionally and promptly.
● Ensure clients receive excellent support and product knowledge.
● Provide training and guidance to staff where required.
Reporting & Administration
● Maintain accurate territory updates.
● Track competitor activity, market pricing, and emerging skincare trends.
● Submit weekly/monthly performance reports to management
Team Collaboration
● Work closely with marketing, finance, logistics, and product teams to deliver customer solutions.
● Participate in national sales meetings, strategy sessions, and training program
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience and Other Requirements:
● Qualification:
o Grade 12 Qualification. Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field would be advantageous
● Experience:
o 3–5 years’ experience in regional sales or area management
o Experience selling into wholesalers, distributors, or FMCG retail skincare/beauty industry.
● Knowledge:
o Understanding of skincare or personal care product markets
● Other:
o Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
o Own car in good roadworthy condition
o Willingness to work on occasional weekend and event support during product activation
