Job Summary
• Procurement & Supplier Management
o Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of suppliers for engineering parts and consumables.
o Establish supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
o Approve purchase orders and oversee procurement compliance.
• Inventory & Stock Control
o Manage all stock control functions, including GRVs, issuing to jobs, and system accuracy.
o Implement and enforce stock rotation policies (FIFO/LIFO).
o Conduct cycle counts and full stock takes, reconciling discrepancies and reporting variances.
o Ensure 100% accuracy of inventory records across ERP/stock systems.
• Storeroom & Logistics Oversight
o Oversee storeroom layout, labeling, and organization for maximum efficiency.
o Supervise packaging, waybills, and dispatch processes for local deliveries.
o Monitor inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
• Administration & Reporting
o Produce detailed monthly stock reports for management, highlighting trends, shortages, and variances.
o Align stock records with financial systems for audit readiness.
o Maintain compliance with company policies and VAT regulations.
• Leadership & Team Development
• Manage and mentor stock control staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Drive process improvements to reduce costs, errors, and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory.
