Job Summary
REQUIREMENT:
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a General Manager within a 5-Star Game Lodge environment essential
- Extensive experience within the game lodge and safari hospitality industry
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong operational knowledge across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, and Maintenance departments
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting
- Experience managing high-end international guest expectations
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop departmental teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Professional, hands-on, and guest-focused approach
- Valid Driver's License and own reliable vehicle essential
- Hospitality qualification advantageous
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the overall operation and performance of the lodge
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and service delivery standards
- Manage all operational departments and departmental heads
- Drive occupancy, revenue growth, and profitability
- Monitor budgets, financial performance, and cost controls
- Lead, mentor, and develop management and operational teams
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures
- Maintain lodge facilities, presentation standards, and operational excellence
- Manage guest feedback and implement continuous improvements
- Build and maintain a positive team culture focused on service excellence
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld
- Represent the lodge professionally within the tourism and hospitality industry
PACKAGE:
- R35,000 – R45,000 per month (Highly neg – DOE)
