Duties
- Manage and coordinate stock movement to the project staging area.
- Manage, coordinate and receive pick slips and picking instructions, planning picking details and sequence requirements.
- Leading and supervising Picking, Service & Assembly Team with regards to functions and picking and assembly priorities.
- Overseeing packing, marking and recording of stock picked
- Ensuring that stock is picked and transferred at least 2 days prior to the arranged collection / delivery date.
- Coordinate the planning and managing the picking of parts and components relating to kitting items for assembly.
- Ensure the management of sorting, checking and preparation of all components for picking and assembly.
- Ensure assembly of kit products and systems are done accurately as required for project picking slips.
- Providing feedback to the Warehouse & Logistic Manager on any changes or improvements required on KIT assembly parts and components.
- Maintaining and keeping proper warehousing management and storekeeping principles in Picking, Service & Assembly area and the stores in general.
- Planning and scheduling production runs for the pipe drilling machine in accordance with project picking requirements.
- Ensuring sufficient blank pipe stock and also that all manufactured pipes are completed in time, packed and labelled properly.
- Ensuring the maintenance and servicing of the drilling machine in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and standards.
- Ensuring that staff are trained, improving product and process knowledge pertaining to assembly education as and when required.
- Provide support, coaching and mentoring to team, where required.
- Ensuring that bin accuracy is maintained through accurate bin selection and recording when picking or returning of picked items.
- Ensuring members of team adhere to company policies and procedures and holding them accountable for non-adherence.
- Attending to all Picking, Service and Assembly documentation and paperwork and ensuring these are kept up to date.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is always kept clean and tidy.
- Packing, sorting, moving, loading and offloading of stock.
- Attending and performing stock takes (annually, quarterly or monthly).
- Attending to any other related tasks on an ad hoc basis.
