- 2 - 3 Years experience working in a technical environment and managing warehouse / stores operations and leading a team including Drivers, Stores, Assemblers and Painter
- Knowledge of inventory control, dispatch procedures, and warehouse operations.
- Experience as Health and Safety Representative
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems (SAP will be advantageous).
Duties
- Lead and develop employees through daily operational meetings, coaching, and training.
- Plan, schedule, and delegate workloads effectively.
- Ensure all completed and dispatched work meets required quality standards.
- Maintain strong communication within the operations team.
- Monitor and enforce operational, workshop, and dispatch standards and procedures.
- Ensure all orders comply with sales order requirements.
- Ensure efficient planning and execution of picking and packing operations.
- Verify that all product modifications are carried out according to client specifications.
- Manage the preparation and compilation of delivery documentation and related notes.
- Maintain and monitor accurate SAP system records for stock transfers, updates, and transactions.
- Investigate and resolve issues relating to lost, missing or incorrectly received stock.
- Liaise daily with Customer Services and branches regarding returns, rejections and stock availability.
- Responsible for the inventory control processes and ensure compliance with stock take procedures.
- Responsible for overall quality assurance of all goods delivered to clients in accordance with Q&A procedure
- Review deliveries to select the correct route, based on the destination, motor size, customer time requirements as well as other needs for each delivery address.
- Control driver, truck, and route productivity by ensuring that each truck carries a full load.
- Investigate customer complaints relating to lost, damaged, or incorrect deliveries, determine responsibility, and ensure resolution in line with customer requirements.
- Schedule time to ride with drivers to evaluate delivery area, verify accuracy and ensure high customer service delivery.
- Oversee daily dispatch scheduling and ensure all trip logs are correctly completed and delivery notes are properly signed and acknowledged.
- Compile and submit all paperwork to Administrator eg Purchase Order and Delivery Notes.
- Provide after hour support for Customers and Sales Representatives.
- Attend to Breakdowns during after-hours and weekends.
- Act as Health and Safety Representative, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers and address safety concerns promptly.
- Oversee the completion of health and safety checklists and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure the store and workshop are maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
- Manage the vehicle fleet, including regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Oversee general building maintenance and ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.
- Perform first-line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, including minor repairs such as tightening screws, door handle adjustments, and hinge maintenance.
