Job Summary
National manufacturer in the packaging industry is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for their Centurion site. Requirements • Matric minimum, Warehouse Management (or related) qualification advantageous • Supervisory experience in warehousing • Warehousing experience in the packaging or FMCG industry a plus • Strong ability to communicate with all levels of people and across departments • Computer literacy (MS Office) • A sound knowledge of financial principles • Ability to develop budgets and apply analytical techniques • Ability to interpret data effectively • Knowledge of legislation pertaining to distribution • Ability to take decisive corrective action where necessary • Excellent people skills Responsibilities • Ensure that the warehouse facilitates the timeous and correct distribution of products • Solve problems and stock discrepancies identified by the Manager • Monitor stock in system and re-order if necessary, and liaise with planning department as required • Ensure the correct loading and off-loading of products • Make sure invoices and delivery notes are captured • Ensure handling of cash customers • Make sure stock is handled correctly • Ensure correct documentation pertaining to stock control and returns • Make sure that vehicle maintenance is kept up to date • Maintain customer relationships • Liaising internally with manufacturing site to ensure smooth running of the warehouse • Involvement in the monthly stock take as required • Manage theoretical stock against actual stock • Stock to be stacked and packed neatly in demarcated areas • Identify and solve stock and product queries and discrepancies and report to manager • Implement and maintain ISO 9001 Quality system • Ensure that the department complies with HACCP and ISO requirements Must live in or around Centurion.
