Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience as a Fleet Controller (ADVANTAGEOUS but not required)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
• Basic understanding of transport regulations and route planning
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and long hours
• Responds to constructive feedback with maturity and willingness to improve

Required skills:

· Coordinate and monitor the daily movement of trucks and drivers.

· Ensure loads are dispatched and delivered according to schedule.

· Track vehicles using fleet tracking systems and provide updates where necessary.

· Manage driver communication regarding routes, delays, breakdowns, and operational matters.

· Ensure compliance with road transport legislation and company policies.

· Monitor fuel consumption, trip performance, and vehicle utilization.

· Handle route planning and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency.

· Liaise with clients, drivers, workshops, and management regarding transport operations.

· Record and report incidents, accidents, delays, and operational issues.

· Ensure all fleet documentation, licenses, permits, and logbooks are updated and compliant.

· Coordinate maintenance schedules and breakdown assistance.

· Assist with overtime planning and after-hours operational support when required.

Remuneration:

• R 20 000 – R 25 000 CTC (depending on experience)
