Our Client in the Agricultural Industry (Citrus) is seeking to employ a Technical Citrus Coordinator (Quality Inspections); to their team based in Kirkwood.
The purpose of the role : Conduct fruit quality inspections on farms and pack houses during the season to ensure optimum packing for each market.

Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- 3 years tertiary qualification – University degree or Diploma in Marketing or Logistics.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a packhouse, marketing, grower relationship, or procurement position.
- Experience within a medium-sized company in the citrus industry.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Conduct fruit quality inspections on farms and pack houses during the season to ensure optimum packing for each market.
- Provide the marketing team and planner with information on fruit size, internal and external quality, phyto-status and packhouse information.
- Assist growers / packhouses to conform with market access standards (quality, phytosanitary, marking and packaging requirements) according to the prerequisites of the market.
- Assist with revision of the packing guide.
- Assist Claim coordinator in ad hoc functions in the off-season.
- Day-to-day operational responsibilities as well as off-season responsibilities.
- Manage Technical Assistants.
- Assist with packaging material distribution and stock management.
