Job Summary
THE NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- A relevant Business, Project Management, or related qualification, together with at least 3–5 years’ proven experience in a Senior Management role.
- The proven ability to lead and grow a business, make tough decisions, manage conflict, drive profitability, and guide the company toward sustainable growth.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal ability, and proven sales and negotiation skills to identify client needs, tailor solutions, close deals, and build long-term relationships.
- Fluency in the MS Office suite as well as proficiency in CRM and sales software.
- A valid driver’s licence, own reliable transport, and the willingness and flexibility to travel and work overtime as required
WILL ALSO COUNT HIGHLY IN YOUR FAVOUR IF YOU HAVE:- Experience working on industry-related drawing and 3D modelling software (CAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp or similar) to design and present solutions.
- A strong understanding of audiovisual equipment, systems, and solutions, supported by relevant industry certifications, technical training, or substantial work experience in the audiovisual industry.
- Demonstrated continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest technological advances in the event audio-visual and technical services industry
- Previous active participation in trade shows and professional networks
- Strong market awareness of industry trends and competitor activity
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the business
- Ensuring the company meets its financial and operational goals
- Ensuring the business meets profitability and efficiency targets
- Leading weekly management meetings as agreed
- Attending and chairing weekly operational/project meetings
- Ensuring meeting notes are updated on OneDrive on the day of the meeting
- Sharing the Operations Report two working days before the weekly management meeting (including project pipeline, active project updates and resource requirements)
Client Relationship Management
- Attending project-based client meetings as agreed
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts
- Developing a quarterly account relationship plan for each key account using the Account Management Plan template
- Obtaining shareholder approval for quarterly account relationship plans
- Executing quarterly account relationship plans
- Ensuring client acquisition and retention
- Ensuring Scope of Work (SOW) per project is agreed with the client
- Ensuring project plans are agreed with the client
Project & Operations Management
- Ensuring all projects are run in accordance with defined processes
- Developing a project plan per project using the required template
- Ensuring each project has a detailed project plan/SOP in place
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Mitigating both internal and client risks
- Ensuring the brand promise is upheld throughout operational execution
People Leadership & Culture
- Leading, managing, recruiting, remunerating and developing team members
- Bringing out the best in the team and enabling them to deliver outcomes
- Maintaining positive staff morale
- Retaining and developing top performers

- Ensuring customer satisfaction
Risk Management
- Developing and maintaining a risk register per project
- Identifying and populating all internal and client risks
- Ensuring risks are managed and mitigated effectively
Supplier Management
- Sourcing and selecting relevant suppliers per project
- Negotiating favourable pricing and terms with suppliers
- Ensuring suppliers deliver on time and within budget in accordance with project plans
New Business Development
- Ensuring valid leads are maintained in the pipeline
- Ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet project and client needs
- Ensuring zero projects are lost due to insufficient resources
- Reviewing and checking all quotations prepared by the operations assistant before sending or presenting to clients
- Reporting at the weekly management meeting the percentage of quotes corrected out of total quotes produced in the month
