Our client, a respected South African not-for-profit organisation within the fraud prevention industry, is seeking an admitted Legal Specialist to establish and lead its legal, compliance and governance function.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Executive Management and the Board, providing strategic legal guidance while ensuring regulatory compliance and sound corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice across the organisation.
Manage litigation and regulatory matters.
Draft and review contracts, legal opinions and policies.
Develop and maintain compliance and governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with the NCA, POPIA, PAIA and Companies Act.
Advise Executive Management and the Board on legal and governance matters.
Liaise with regulators and external legal counsel.
Minimum Requirements
LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience.
Litigation experience.
Strong knowledge of South African legal and regulatory frameworks.
Experience with compliance, governance and contract drafting.
