You will be joining a respected and well‑established lodge group that offers ongoing exposure to bush walks, guided game drives, guest hosting, and rotational lodge duties. Whether you are currently building your Back‑Up or Lead Trails hours, or already operating within Trails and seeking strong mentorship, this role provides the support, structure, and growth needed to advance confidently. With experienced senior Trails Guides, dedicated mentors, and a strong training culture, this environment is designed to accelerate your development and help you build a long‑term career in the wildlife, tourism, and hospitality sector. Requirements – Trails Guides Naturally warm, friendly, and guest‑focused attitude (non‑negotiable) Grade 12 or equivalent FGASA Level 1 or 2 with Trails Guide qualification OR currently logging Trails hours (VPDA also considered) First Aid Level 1 Valid Driver’s License with PDP DEAT / NDT registration Knowledge of the Zululand region, local cultures, and attractions (advantageous) Confident in game drives, guided walks, and guest hosting Strong communication and engagement skills Professional; reliable, and passionate about conservation and bush living Package & Benefits Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 (based on qualifications & experience) Accommodation: Single live‑in unit with private ensuite + lounge area No shared accommodation 1 meal per day Tips included Excellent long‑term career growth within the group Access to multiple Trails Guide Mentors on site Structured support for hour logging, sign‑offs, and additional training Start Date The lodge aims to welcome new Trails Guides before month‑end ; but they fully respect standard notice periods.
