GAME RANGER | LUXURY SAFARI LODGE | ZULULAND, KZN Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Game Ranger to join a luxury safari lodge located in the Zululand region of KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a guest-focused field guide who thrives in a remote bush environment and enjoys creating memorable safari experiences. Salary: R10 000 + accommodation (DOE) Location: Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal Accommodation: Live-in position KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct two daily game drives, delivering high-quality interpretive guiding experiences • Engage with guests during evening activities including fires, braais, and social gatherings • Assist guests with hosting duties such as braai setup, drinks service, and general hospitality support • Share wildlife knowledge, storytelling, and assist in planning next-day sightings and activities • Check, clean, and prepare safari vehicles to ensure operational readiness • Assist with general veld, road, and outdoor maintenance during quieter periods • Support lodge operations as needed in a hands-on, team-based environment EMERGENCY & SUPPORT DUTIES • Assist with infrastructure repairs following elephant damage (e.g. pipes and water systems) • Support response efforts during floods, road damage, dam issues, fire incidents, and security concerns • Assist anti-poaching and security teams when required WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A dedicated and adaptable Game Ranger who is passionate about wildlife, guest experience, and teamwork. The ideal candidate is proactive, calm under pressure, and willing to assist across all aspects of lodge operations to ensure a seamless safari experience.
