The Role
You will take full operational ownership of the store, from people to profit.
You will:
Lead, manage and develop staff to deliver high performance
Drive strong stock control and ensure smart ordering decisions
Analyse sales trends and identify product gaps customers aren’t even asking for yet
Increase foot traffic and customer loyalty through strategic thinking
Manage budgets tightly and protect margins
Maintain exceptional store standards and cleanliness
Handle staff performance, discipline and development
Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Build strong relationships within the local community
This role requires someone who doesn’t wait for head office to fix things. You see an opportunity, you act on it.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years’ retail experience
Proven track record as a Retail Manager
Strong staff management experience
Solid stock management and buying exposure
Analytical mindset (you must understand numbers, trends and margins)
Computer literate (Excel and Word)
Valid driver’s license
Matric essential
But more importantly:
