R30,000 per month (Negotiable DOE) + performance-based incentives A well-established 4/5-star boutique hotel in White River is seeking a passionate, hands-on and experienced General Manager to lead the property and drive excellence across all operational areas. This is a live-in opportunity suited to a dedicated hospitality professional who is looking for a long-term role within a growing and dynamic operation. We are looking for a strong all-rounder who thrives in a boutique hotel environment and leads from the front. The ideal candidate is not a clock-watcher, but someone who takes full ownership of the property, is deeply committed to guest satisfaction, and consistently strives to deliver an exceptional guest experience for both local and international visitors. In this role, you will oversee the full operational management of the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day running while driving occupancy, revenue growth, and overall profitability. You will be responsible for managing budgets, controlling costs, and overseeing financial performance including full P&L accountability. Additional responsibilities include managing reservations, sales, and agent relationships, maintaining high service standards, and leading, motivating, and developing the team. You will also oversee food and beverage operations including menu costing, manage maintenance and property upkeep, and ensure compliance with all operational and legal requirements. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a General Manager or senior hospitality leadership role, strong financial and business acumen, and excellent people management skills. A hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven approach is essential, along with a strong understanding of revenue management systems and reservation platforms. This role requires a passionate hospitality professional who is willing to work flexible hours, be on standby when required, and live on-site as part of the property.
