We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line IT support to users both remotely and on-site.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
Set up user accounts and manage passwords and system access.
Install and update operating systems and software applications.
Maintain IT equipment and asset records.
Escalate complex technical issues where required.
Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of support requests.
Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
Support IT projects, upgrades, and system rollouts.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant IT qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree).
2–4 years' experience in an IT Desktop Support or Helpdesk role.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts, Active Directory, and hardware troubleshooting.
Valid driver's licence.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
