Position Summary - As a Butler your primary role is to provide exceptional service to guests. You will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive
personalised attention and have their needs met during their stay. This includes managing their food and beverage preferences in the main
lodge as well as in the suites.
- To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to anticipate guests’ needs before they arise. You will work
closely with other members of the lodge staff, including chefs and housekeeping, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- In addition to providing top-notch service, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This includes the
deck restaurant, indoor restaurant, bar area and main viewing deck.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies from the stores as needed.
- You are also be responsible for overseeing any special events or private dining experiences for guests.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a lodge or hospitality setting.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues.
3. Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and building rapport with guests.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and maintain composure during busy service periods.
5. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the Lodges operational needs.
6. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including food handling, drink preparation, and service etiquette.

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests, take orders accurately, and communicate with colleagues and
management.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, and other Lodge team members to ensure smooth coordination of service and guest
satisfaction.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to accurately take orders, prepare beverages, and deliver food and drinks to guests according to their preferences and specifications.
Multitasking: Proficiency in multitasking to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, serving food and drinks, and
attending to guest requests, especially during busy service periods.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address guest concerns or issues promptly and effectively, finding solutions to ensure guest
satisfaction.
Menu and Beverage Knowledge: Familiarity with the menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings to provide
recommendations, answer questions, and enhance the guest experience.
Hygiene and Safety: Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a clean
and safe dining and bar environment.
Flexibility: Adaptability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to handle changing priorities and
guest preferences in a dynamic environment.
Physical Stamina: Physical stamina and endurance to stand for extended periods, carry trays of food and drinks, and navigate the dining and bar
areas efficiently during busy service periods.

Work cycle 21 days on 7 days off
