? Job Overview The Lodge Anchor serves as the central point of coordination between guests and lodge operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. This role combines front-of-house hosting, guest relations, and operational support, acting as the “anchor” that keeps all departments aligned. ?️ Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hosting Welcome and host guests throughout their stay Ensure a warm, personalized, and memorable guest experience Handle guest requests, special arrangements, and preferences Act as the main point of contact for guests Front-of-House Coordination Oversee daily lodge activities and guest schedules Liaise with housekeeping, kitchen, guides, and maintenance teams Ensure all departments are aligned with guest requirements Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and reservations if needed Service Excellence Maintain high hospitality standards across all departments Monitor service delivery and address any gaps immediately Assist with meal service, hosting dinners, and special events Administration & Communication Maintain guest records and preferences Ensure clear communication between departments Assist with daily reports and operational updates Problem Solving Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and efficiently Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns proactively Operational Support Step in where needed across departments (FOH, F&B, housekeeping) Support management with daily lodge operations ? Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent Qualification in Hospitality Management (advantageous) Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a luxury lodge or hospitality environment Experience in guest relations, front office, or hosting roles ? Skills & Competencies Exceptional guest service and hosting skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Excellent organizational and coordination skills Ability to multitask and work under pressure High attention to detail Problem-solving and decision-making skills Computer literate (reservations systems and MS Office) ?
