Job Title: Governance – Assessor / Implementer

Job Summary 

We are seeking a qualified Governance Assessor / Implementer with hands-on experience in IT governance assessments and framework implementation. The role focuses on assessing current governance maturity, designing target-state governance models, and implementing improvements aligned with COBIT 2019 and industry best practices. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct IT governance assessments based on COBIT 2019 
  

• Evaluate current-state governance maturity, controls, and processes 
  

• Design and implement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures 
  

• Perform gap analysis and define improvement roadmaps 
  

• Support COBIT 2019 implementation and operationalization 
  

• Align IT governance with business objectives and regulatory requirements 
  

• Develop governance documentation, RACI matrices, and process models 
  

• Support audits, compliance reviews, and management reporting 
  

• Coordinate with stakeholders, IT teams, and senior management 
  

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• 3–5 years of experience in IT governance, risk, or compliance roles 
  

• Strong knowledge of COBIT 2019 principles, objectives, and practices 
  

• Experience in governance assessments, implementation, and maturity models 
  

• Ability to perform gap assessments and develop actionable recommendations 
  

• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills 
  

Certifications 

• COBIT 2019 (Foundation / Design & Implementation) and/or 
  

• CGEIT or equivalent governance certification (mandatory or preferred) 
  

Nice to Have 

• Knowledge of related frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 27001, or NIST 
  

• Experience in regulated industries or public sector environments 
  

• Exposure to enterprise risk management and internal audits 
  

Work Mode 

• Onsite: Africa-based locations 
  

• Remote: Available based on project and engagement requirements
