Job Summary
Sales Administration Clerk
Our client, operating within the timber manufacturing industry, is seeking a suitably qualified Sales Administration Clerk to provide accurate administrative and customer service support to the sales department.
The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture, process and reconcile sales orders and dispatches accurately.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date sales records, filing and documentation.
- Liaise professionally with customers regarding orders, deliveries and queries.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries to maintain high service levels.
- Assist with resolving credit note, invoice and delivery-related queries.
- Compile and maintain accurate sales and administrative reports.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s product range, ordering processes and customer database.
- Provide administrative support to the production department when required.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism, honesty and integrity in all customer interactions.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
- A business-related tertiary qualification, accounting background or relevant sales experience will be advantageous.
- Previous experience providing administrative support within a sales environment.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A sound understanding of customer service principles.
