You notice the angle. The story. The detail nobody else spotted. You know what should become a Reel, what belongs on Instagram, what needs a quick video edit and how to turn something fairly ordinary into content that looks polished, current and worth stopping for.

A dynamic property development business based in Stellenbosch is looking for a creative, switched-on Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to take ownership of its social media presence and help bring exciting property developments to life digitally.

We're looking for someone who thinks, creates, experiments, notices opportunities and figures things out.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll be the hands-on creative person behind the company's digital content and social presence.

You'll visit developments and work with people on the ground to uncover interesting stories, progress and content opportunities. The technical information will be provided to you. Your job is to turn it into something people actually want to look at, watch and engage with.

You'll personally:

• Create engaging social media content across relevant platforms
  
• Shoot high-quality photo and video content using modern, agile content-creation techniques
  
• Create, edit and optimise Reels, short-form video and social content
  
• Keep the company's social presence current with evolving platform trends, formats and algorithms
  
• Develop creative content concepts rather than waiting to be told exactly what to make
  
• Write engaging captions and supporting digital copy
  
• Turn property-development progress, people, milestones and information into compelling visual stories
  
• Work directly with teams on site to identify and capture authentic content
  
• Maintain a premium, polished visual standard across everything produced
  
• Update website content, imagery and pages using a user-friendly CMS
  
• Use AI tools intelligently to research, ideate, create and work faster
  
• Assist with broader marketing content, presentations, collateral and marketing-related administration when required
  

Requirements

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You are probably already living in the world of Instagram, TikTok, Reels, short-form video and digital content.

You understand what's current without needing someone to explain it to you.

But equally importantly, you have taste.

You know the difference between content that is trendy and content that looks cheap. You can work with a premium brand and understand that sometimes the smallest visual details matter.

You'll ideally bring:

• Around 2–5 years' relevant social media/content experience
  
• Strong hands-on video creation and editing ability
  
• Excellent understanding of current social media trends and formats
  
• A portfolio that demonstrates a strong visual eye
  
• Canva and/or Adobe capability
  
• Experience with tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar
  
• Confidence using AI tools as part of your everyday workflow
  
• Strong written communication
  
• Enough digital confidence to update and add content/pages to a simple website CMS
  
• The ability to communicate comfortably with different people and draw good content out of them
  
• A driver's licence and willingness to travel when required

If you don't know how to do something, your instinct should be to figure it out.

You'll work with dynamic, entrepreneurial people who move quickly, have high standards and sometimes care about the smallest creative details. You need to enjoy that environment rather than find it frustrating.

You don't need to arrive knowing everything. There is plenty you can learn.

What can't easily be taught is curiosity, initiative, creative instinct, intelligence and drive.
