RESTAURANT MANAGER – LUXURY DINING ENVIRONMENT We are looking for a confident, composed, and highly capable Restaurant Manager to lead a refined, detail-driven front of house team within one of the Cape Winelands’ most exceptional dining environments. This is not a standard restaurant role. It is a space where service is intentional, every guest interaction matters, and the smallest details shape the overall experience. The right candidate will understand that true luxury lies in consistency, presence, and the ability to read a room. The Role As Restaurant Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring that service flows seamlessly, standards are upheld without compromise, and every guest leaves feeling genuinely cared for. You will lead from the floor — visible, engaged, and in control — setting the tone for the team and ensuring alignment between front of house, kitchen, and the broader guest experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all front of house operations with consistency, structure, and attention to detail Drive a service culture that is warm, polished, and intuitive Be present on the floor during service — observing, guiding, and stepping in where needed Ensure that every guest interaction reflects the level of care expected in a luxury environment Manage reservations, seating flow, and table management with precision Handle guest feedback and resolve challenges with professionalism and composure Train; mentor, and develop the front of house team to maintain high performance standards Work closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless communication and service delivery Uphold brand standards, presentation, and overall atmosphere at all times Manage staffing, rosters, and operational planning effectively What We’re Looking For Proven experience managing a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment A strong, calm leadership presence — able to guide a team while maintaining respect and accountability Excellent communication skills, both with guests and within the team A deep understanding of service flow, timing, and guest engagement High attention to detail across all aspects of the dining experience The ability to remain composed and solution-focused under pressure Strong organisational and operational management skills A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences What Sets You Apart You lead from the floor, not from behind a desk You are confident enough to hold standards and give clear direction when needed You anticipate guest needs before they are voiced You bring calm control into busy, high-pressure services You care about the experience as a whole — not just individual moments This is an opportunity to lead within a restaurant where excellence is expected, detail is everything, and service is taken seriously.
