Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor – Luxury Events & Hospitality Estate – Stellenbosch Our client, a leading hospitality, accommodation, and events estate in Stellenbosch, is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor to take ownership of all estate maintenance, infrastructure, and grounds operations. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring that the estate consistently maintains the exceptional standards expected of a premium wedding and hospitality destination. Description Reporting directly to the Operational Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, repair, functionality, and presentation of all estate buildings, accommodation units, event venues, infrastructure, and grounds. The role combines hands-on maintenance expertise with team leadership and preventative maintenance planning. Responsibilities include managing building maintenance, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, infrastructure upkeep, contractor management, and preventative maintenance schedules. The successful candidate will also oversee grounds operations through the Garden Supervisor, ensuring the estate remains in pristine condition year-round. A critical component of the role is ensuring event readiness. The Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor will work closely with the events team to ensure all venues, accommodation facilities, lighting, power, water systems, and infrastructure are fully operational before weddings and events. This position requires a practical, solutions-driven individual who can confidently manage both reactive maintenance issues and long-term preventative maintenance programmes. Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, estate management, or property maintenance Strong practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical maintenance, carpentry, and general building repairs Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes and asset registers Previous experience supervising maintenance teams, grounds staff, and contractors Strong organisational and planning skills Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Hospitality; estate, wedding venue, or accommodation experience highly advantageous Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during events Package Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month dependent on experience Permanent position Based in Stellenbosch
