This role is ideal for an experienced and motivated Junior Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume catering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality standards, and assisting with the smooth execution of large-scale events and daily catering requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a consistently high standard
Supporting large-volume production for events, functions, and contracts
Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards are strictly maintained
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
Leading and motivating junior kitchen staff when required
Key Requirements:
Previous large-volume catering experience is essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
A hands-on, reliable, and professional approach to work
Valid driver’s licence is required
Own reliable transport is essential
Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by catering operations
