? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is assisting an exciting new Stellenbosch restaurant group in sourcing an experienced ????? ?? ????? ???????. Our client is opening two distinct dining venues on a wine estate in Stellenbosch — one offering a refined, detail-led dining experience and the other a relaxed, high-volume neighbourhood setting. Both venues share a commitment to warm, genuine hospitality and a strong focus on local wine and beverage knowledge. This is an opening-team role. The FOH Manager will help establish the culture, systems and service standards from the ground up, remaining visible on the floor and taking ownership of the guest journey across both venues. ??? ???????????????? Recruit; onboard and build the front of house team for both venues from scratch — creating rosters, leading briefings and debriefs, coaching on service technique, menu knowledge and guest awareness, and identifying future supervisors. Own the complete guest journey across both venues — reservations, arrivals, seating, pacing, service recovery and farewells; adapting tone between a fine-dining and a casual neighbourhood setting. Manage the beverage programme — maintaining sound wine knowledge, training the team on wine and whisky/whiskey, and overseeing stock counts, ordering, receiving and cellar organisation. Oversee daily operations — opening and closing procedures, POS accuracy, cash-ups, reservation management, payroll inputs, consumables control and SOPs for both venues. Coordinate events, tastings and private functions; liaise with estate stakeholders and suppliers; provide regular reporting on covers, spend, guest feedback and operational matters. ???????????? At least 3 to 5 years of front of house experience in quality restaurants, with meaningful supervisory or management responsibility. Proven ability to recruit, train, develop and performance-manage a team. Comfortable working across both premium dining and a busy, everyday setting. Working knowledge of restaurant POS, reservations, cash-ups, stock control and rostering. Wine knowledge essential; formal wine training advantageous. Genuine interest in whisky and whiskey. English essential; Afrikaans highly advantageous. Valid South African work eligibility; reliable transport; willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. ??????- R25,000 - R30,000 per month, depending on experience. ??????????- Full-time.
