The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the hotel while delivering excellent guest service. They act as the main point of contact for guests, handling complaints, welcoming VIPs, and maintaining a visible presence to support both guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: – Act as the primary point of contact for guests; resolving complaints to conclusion, welcoming VIPs, and maintaining a high-profile presence on the floor to build rapport and exceed service expectations. – Ensure the smooth running of all departments in the absence of HODs. This includes conducting regular spot checks, completing daily DM checklists, and ensuring all brand standards and safety protocols are strictly followed. – Oversee the physical property by checking grounds daily, logging maintenance issues for rapid turnaround, and ensuring all areas (including the canteen and back-of-house) are clean at shift-end. – Assist with site inspections, function setups from start to finish, departmental handovers and any adhoc admin duties required. Requirements: – Matric – Diploma/ Degree in hospitality management NQF Level 5 - 7 – 3-4 years’ Experience as a Duty Manager in hospitality environment – Knowledge of Hospitality Property Management Systems, Computer literate, including MS Office and 2 years’ experience in Opera Cloud – Must be flexible and able to work shifts and fulfil duty management shifts (required to work night shift when needed) Competencies: – Devotion to quality – Results orientated – Team Building – Initiative – Directing – Structuring – Providing feedback – Analyzing and forming opinions We offer: – An empowering environment. – A remuneration package including risk benefits – 21 working days leave per annum – Other company benefits – Training and development opportunities To apply, please click on the apply button and follow the instructions.
