A leading South African asset management organisation with a significant mandate to manage large-scale investments on behalf of public sector entities is seeking to appoint a Sourcing and Vendor Manager (IT Contracts & SLA) within its Information Technology function.
This role is critical in driving effective vendor governance, procurement efficiency, and service delivery excellence across the organisation’s IT supplier ecosystem.
Purpose of the RoleTo manage end-to-end sourcing, vendor performance, and contract governance within the IT environment, ensuring alignment to business needs, compliance frameworks, cost efficiency, and service quality standards.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Commerce, IT, or Business Administration
Certification in ITIL, ISO 20000 Service Level Management, or equivalent (advantageous)
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Vendor Management
At least 5 years’ experience within an IT environment
Strong understanding of Service Level Management and ITIL processes
Experience in contract management and IT procurement environments
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IT procurement and demand plans aligned to business needs
Manage vendor evaluation, appointment, and onboarding processes
Oversee full contract lifecycle management and governance compliance
Monitor and report on SLA performance and vendor compliance
Conduct vendor due diligence across financial, security, DR, and business continuity domains
Manage vendor relationships and service improvement initiatives
Support IT cost management and ensure alignment to budget targets
Drive escalation resolution and service issue management
Contribute to IT strategy alignment with vendors and stakeholders
Support assessment of IT implications in mergers and acquisitions
