This prestigious estate in the Somerset West Winelands is home to a number of internationally rated wines ranging from distinct Chardonnays to signature Bordeaux style blends. ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly proficient, passionate service & sales driven Wine Club and Tasting Centre Manager to oversee daily operations of the tasting centre while driving the growth and performance of the estate's wine club. The primary focus of the position is on delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading and developing a high-performing team, increasing direct-to-consumer sales, and ensuring that every visitor interaction reflects the estate's premium brand and reputation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong wine background who’ll lead guest experiences, grow direct wine sales, and contribute to the continued success of a world-class wine brand. REQUIREMENTS ° Minimum / Essential Wine Qualification (WSET Level 2). ° At least 5 - 6 years' management experience within the wine & hospitality industry. ° A genuine passion for wines and the wine industry with an ongoing commitment to educating & developing others. ° Exceptional communication, presentation, organisational, and problem-solving skills. ° Strong leadership and team motivational & development skills with a hands-on, service-focused approach. ° Excellent analytical, reporting, and business management abilities. ° Proven experience working with Commerce7 and direct-to-consumer wine sales platforms. ° Highly professional, confident, and polished in high-end guest interactions. ° Flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays, and special events when required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Experience & Tasting Room Operations Lead the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring an exceptional, seamless, and memorable guest experience. Deliver premium, personalised wine tastings through engaging storytelling, expert product knowledge, and warm hospitality. Manage guest feedback, VIP visits, and group bookings with professionalism and attention to detail. Maintain the highest standards of presentation, service, and brand representation throughout the tasting room. Team Leadership & Development Recruit; train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing hospitality team. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Wine Club Management Oversee the management, growth, and performance of the Wine Club. Develop and implement strategies to increase member acquisition, engagement, retention, and sales. Ensure exceptional member experiences through personalised communication and service. Sales & Business Performance Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to support promotions, campaigns, private functions, and targeted sales initiatives. Monitor sales performance, visitor trends, and team productivity, providing strategic insights and recommendations to management. Drive direct-to-consumer sales and maximise revenue opportunities. Systems; Stock & Compliance Manage and maintain the accuracy, functionality, and presentation of Commerce7 POS systems. Ensure effective stock control, inventory management, and merchandising in line with brand standards. Uphold all health, safety, and service standards across tasting room operations.
