??? ??????????? ??????????? is partnering with a leading luxury safari and conservation operator in Zambia to recruit a hands-on and experienced ????????? ???????? ???????. This role suits a seasoned technical professional who thrives across a broad scope of work, including workshop management, preventative maintenance, solar power, refrigeration, and remote camp support. You will be the person keeping a portfolio of safari camps running smoothly, safely and without disruption. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take ownership of technical operations across the portfolio, building and running preventative maintenance schedules, responding quickly to breakdowns and emergencies, and keeping every camp compliant and fully operational. Responsibilities will include electrical and solar systems, including battery banks, inverters and backup power, refrigeration and cold chain equipment, and the upkeep of vehicles, generators, pumps, boats and outboard motors. You will also run the central workshop and manage its team, tools and spares. You will also oversee broader infrastructure, including guest rooms, staff housing, plumbing, water and sewer systems, decking and camp access. You will coordinate upgrades and refurbishments as needed, while championing strong health and safety practice across every site. Solid administration skills are essential to maintain accurate logs and service records, monthly technical reporting, and input into budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations. Requirements • Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or a related field • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar remote technical management role • Experience in remote lodge, hospitality or safari, environments • Proven track record managing multidisciplinary maintenance operations. • Strong knowledge of solar systems, inverter technology, electrical installations, refrigeration, diesel engines, generators, pumps and plumbing • Strong leadership and people management skills • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability • Well organised, detail-oriented and able to plan effectively • Comfortable working independently in remote settings • Strong communication and coordination skills • Practical; hands-on approach with a high level of integrity and accountability • Willingness to travel regularly between camps and work in remote bush environments Salary – On application ?PLEASE NOTE – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only be able to respond to candidates who meet the required specifications.
