Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef for a luxury private game reserve based in Hoedspruit. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with strong 4-star experience who is ready to take the next step into a 5-star luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen.
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with luxury hospitality standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are upheld.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
- Contribute to menu development and guest dining experiences.
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie within a 4-star property.
- Ready to progress into a 5-star luxury lodge environment.
- Formal culinary qualification.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Passion for fine food and exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Package
- Salary of R25,000 per month.
