This is a highly hands-on cooking position covering all hot and cold kitchen responsibilities, supported by a separate pastry department. Clear criminal record, excellent employment track record with good references; Fantastic personality with excellent Guest contact skills; Formal tertiary culinary qualification/s from a recognized hospitality / cooking school / college; 2 - 5 years’ experience in upmarket 4 or 5 Star hospitality properties; A strong understanding of working in a high end 5* hospitality environment; Highly familiar with all dietary requirements A sharp eye for detail, anticipation of Guest needs and wants, innovation and initiative; Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal; Maintains sober habits and a good level of physical and mental wellbeing; Basic computer literacy; Grade 12 / Matric qualification - advantage; Valid drivers’ licence and own transport – advantage, not mandatory; Candidates whom are expats with a valid work permit in place (still valid for a year / more) may apply ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ?????
