? Senior Journey Specialist | Luxury Property Group | Johannesburg ✈️ Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Africa Travel Specialist to join a Luxury Property Group in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a travel professional with a passion for curating bespoke guest experiences across Southern and East Africa, combining expert itinerary planning with proactive sales engagement to drive revenue growth. ? Key Responsibilities ?️ Travel Coordination & Planning Design and sell tailor-made itineraries for guests, including flights, transfers, and accommodation with partner lodges/hotels Engage proactively with prospective guests to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities across properties and experiences Maintain up-to-date knowledge of properties, rooms, services, and locations Stay informed on third-party preferred partners and specialised knowledge of Southern and East Africa ? Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets through direct bookings Track and report on sales performance, conversion rates, and revenue metrics Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales strategies and campaigns Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients ? Booking Management & Administration Ensure accurate reservation details in booking and CRM systems Confirm bookings via email in a timely manner Manage reservation files from inception through guest departure ? Financial Management Ensure timely payment collection for reservations Submit monthly reconciliations and financial breakdowns ? Guest Services Excellence Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally Ensure all proposals and responses meet company standards Follow up post-travel to ensure guest satisfaction ? Professional Development Attend educational trips and trade events as required Contribute to departmental profitability through excellent service delivery ✅ Skills & Experience ? Education & Qualifications Grade 12 certificate (essential) Degree or Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality (advantageous) ? Experience Minimum 8 years in a similar role with proven sales performance, preferably with a tour operator Hospitality/tourism industry experience (advantageous) ? Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Office, Tourplan, Res Request (essential) Comprehensive knowledge of Southern and East Africa travel (essential) ? Core Competencies Excellent command of English, verbal and written communication Strong time management, self-discipline, and attention to detail Proactive; creative, and solution-focused Team player with positive attitude, emotional control, and adaptability Commercial acumen with ability to meet sales targets and close bookings Confident negotiation and interpersonal skills Commitment to delivering a high-quality guest experience with accuracy, integrity, and enthusiasm ?
