Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and people? Our client is looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team. Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll AdministrationProcess weekly, monthly and casual payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
Collect, verify and process timesheets and payroll information.
Maintain payroll records and update employee information on the payroll system.
Process statutory and third-party payments, including:
SARS
UIF
Group Life & Funeral
Medical Aid
Garnishee Orders
Other deductions
Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports.
Resolve payroll and wage-related queries.
Distribute electronic payslips and printed payslips where required.
Administer employee leave, process leave applications and prepare leave reports.
Manage Group Life & Funeral claims.
Assist with statutory submissions, including EMP501, Workman's Compensation, Employment Equity and SDL.
Reconcile payroll cashbooks and prepare journal reports for the Finance department.
Assist with incentive, bonus and annual salary increase processing.
Contribute to the preparation of management reporting packs.
Maintain organised payroll records, backups and monthly archives.
HR AdministrationProvide administrative support to the HR Team Leader.
Perform general HR administration, including filing, scanning, document management and maintaining employee files.
Manage HR correspondence and assist with employee enquiries.
Draft disciplinary warnings and assist with arranging disciplinary hearings.
Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Matric).
Payroll qualification or relevant payroll courses will be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years' payroll administration experience.
Experience working on VIP Payroll or similar payroll software will be advantageous.
Sound understanding of South African payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
