Service Supervisor | Luxury Lodge | Kruger National Park

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Service Supervisor to join a luxury lodge in the Kruger National Park. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong guest service focus, leadership skills, and operational knowledge of food and beverage service in a high-end environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure consistency in services and products offered to guests
Monitor staff and patron activities to ensure compliance with liquor regulations
Perform and supervise beverage preparation and service tasks, including presentation, sales, and training
Assist in developing and implementing specialty drinks for welcome, morning, and evening services
Promote optimal communication between the kitchen and service teams, including daily briefings and pass management
Investigate and resolve guest complaints professionally
Manage stock control, inventory, and equipment maintenance for service areas
Estimate consumption, schedule orders, and verify delivery contents for quality and quantity
Maintain par levels for crockery, cutlery, glassware, and beverage/service equipment
Review beverage menus, analyze recipes, and assign prices to menu items
Ensure effective POS operation, monitoring reports to identify popular and profitable items
Coordinate equipment repairs and services such as refrigeration and ice machines
Requirements & Skills:
Strong knowledge of luxury F&B customer service standards
Comprehensive understanding of local, regional, and international wines and beverages
Knowledge of food preparation, product quality, and cooking methods
Understanding of stock procedures, inventory control, and departmental administration
Familiarity with hygiene standards, cleaning products, and equipment operation
Ability to plan, budget, and manage departmental tasks efficiently
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills, emotional control, and team leadership abilities
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work accurately under pressure
