Senior / Intermediate Sales & Reservations Consultant - Luxury Tour Operator - Remote (Work from Home) - South Africa Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an experienced and driven Sales and Reservations Consultant for a well-established luxury African travel and safari company, operating across Southern and East Africa. This is a remote, work-from-home position offering the opportunity to sell and curate bespoke, high-end safari itineraries across some of Africa's most sought-after destinations. Please note: This is a fully remote role. Candidates must have their own reliable internet connectivity and a stable electricity supply at their own cost. A laptop and additional screen are provided by the company. Candidates based in Gauteng have access to a REGUS Business Lounge membership as an alternative during load shedding. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' sales consultant experience within the luxury travel or safari industry - essential Strong destination knowledge of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia - essential and non-negotiable Destination knowledge of East Africa, Mozambique and Malawi - advantageous Experience managing the full booking life cycle from quoting and invoicing through to supplier confirmation and payment follow-up Experience handling groups and tour series Proficient in Travel Studio and Wetu reservation systems - advantageous Strong negotiating, influencing and cross-selling ability Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail and quick turnaround times Ability to manage major accounts and work independently with limited supervision Competent in MS Office, particularly Excel Fluent English - written and verbal - essential Ability to mentor junior staff Stable work history with fully contactable references Key Responsibilities: End-to-end selling, consultation and booking of all products Build and develop customised itineraries aligned with company standards and client needs Serve as the primary point of contact for allocated client accounts Maintain high conversion rates and meet agreed sales targets Manage all stages of the booking life cycle including quoting, invoicing, supplier liaison and payment follow-up Liaise effectively across sales, operations and finance departments Participate in a rotating 24-hour standby phone duty and shift week, including Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 13:00 Report accurately on sales activity and pipeline Working Hours: Standard: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 Shift week rotation: After-hours emergency line and reservations inbox, plus Saturday 09:00 to 13:00 Package: Market-related basic salary based on experience and current earnings Commission/incentive programme Permanent contract with a 6-month probation period Laptop and additional screen provided Please note: No medical aid or provident fund contributions are included in this package To apply, please submit the following: Updated CV Contactable reference feedback from your last 3 to 4 employers Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with the above documents and a recent head and shoulders photo ASAP! ?
