Pastry Chef – Luxury Safari Lodge – North WestSalary: Negotiable DOE | Live-in
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef for a luxury safari lodge based in the North West. This role is suited to a passionate pastry professional who takes pride in delivering beautifully presented, high-quality desserts within a five-star bush environment.
Minimum Experience and Requirements:
• Formal culinary or pastry qualification (advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking and dessert presentation
• Ability to work independently and manage the pastry section efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Good organisational and stock control skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, breads and baked goods to five-star standards
• Design and execute creative dessert menus aligned with the lodge’s culinary offering
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture and presentation
Operational Management
• Manage the pastry section, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene and health regulations
Stock Control & Cost Management
• Manage stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
• Minimise wastage and maintain cost control in line with budget requirements
• Assist with ordering and supplier liaison where required
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure cohesive menu execution
• Support junior kitchen staff with guidance and training where necessary
