Senior Camp Manager | Luxury Safari Camp | Sabi Sands Salary: R20,000 – R28,000 DOE Accommodation: Live-In Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Camp Manager for a prestigious luxury safari camp in the Sabi Sands. This hands-on leadership role requires a dynamic professional to oversee all camp operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain the highest standards across all departments. Minimum Requirements: • 5+ years’ experience in luxury safari lodge or camp management with proven leadership skills • Strong operational, organizational, and financial management capabilities • Exceptional guest service, interpersonal, and communication skills • Knowledge of safari operations, including game drives, guiding, and lodge logistics • Experience in staff management, training, and performance evaluation • Ability to work under pressure in remote, fast-paced environments • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work extended hours Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily camp operations across all departments, including guest services, housekeeping, F&B, guiding, and maintenance • Lead, coach, and develop camp staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences and service standards • Monitor operational budgets, stock control, and resource management • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols • Coordinate with guides and operations teams to maintain safari experience standards • Manage bookings, occupancy, and staff scheduling to optimize operational efficiency • Support recruitment, training, and development of camp personnel • Provide regular reports to ownership/management on operations, guest satisfaction, and financial performance Skills & Competencies: • Leadership and team development • Operational and financial discipline • Guest-focused mindset • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills • Attention to detail and high standards of presentation • Adaptability, resilience, and cultural sensitivity This live-in position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a world-class safari environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences.
