Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for a luxury, family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Stellenbosch. This beautiful property also includes an event venue, offering a dynamic environment with both daily restaurant operations and function coordination.
The restaurant operates for breakfast, lunch, and two dinner services per week, requiring a manager who can run the operation consistently and confidently on a day-to-day basis.
Previous management experience in a restaurant or luxury dining environment
Strong wine knowledge, ideally with a background in Stellenbosch or similar wine regions
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Ability to manage a small team of 4–6 waiters
Strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain high service standards
Comfortable overseeing both restaurant service and venue/event coordination
Hands-on, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Manage daily restaurant operations with consistency and professionalism
Maintain high levels of service, guest satisfaction, and overall dining experience
Oversee and support a small front-of-house team
Conduct wine service, recommendations, and uphold cellar standards
Handle administrative duties such as rostering, stock control, cash-ups, and reporting
Coordinate with the venue team for events and functions held on the property
Ensure smooth, efficient breakfast, lunch, and limited dinner services
