VACANCY: RECEPTIONIST Ref No: KB/FO-R2026/03 POSITION: RECEPTIONIST DEPARTMENT: ROOMS DIVISION REPORTS TO: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER/ FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR CLOSING DATE: 31st of March 2026 Receptionist – Front Office Function: A Receptionist represents the hotel throughout every stage of the guest journey. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and ensuring a seamless front office operation in line with hotel standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities: c Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, courteous service at all times c Handle check-in and check-out procedures accurately c Manage reservations, room allocations, and special guest requests c Process payments, perform cash-ups, and follow financial procedures c Manage guest complaints efficiently and escalate when required c Maintain accurate guest records and update the PMS (Opera experience advantageous) c Monitor room status, arrivals, departures, and VIP guests c Promote hotel facilities and upsell rooms, F&B outlets, and services c Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health & safety regulations, and local legislation c Maintain a clean, organised front desk and professional appearance c Work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Sales & Marketing, and Management c Attend briefings, training sessions, and team meetings Pre-requirements: Ñ Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ñ Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Ñ Professional telephone etiquette Ñ Ability to work under pressure and multitask Ñ Computer literate (Opera experience advantageous) Ñ High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ñ Reliable, honest, well-presented, and flexible Applications: Please submit your CV together with a Cover/Motivational Letter to Human Resources before the closing date.
