Role Overview: A critical operational role responsible for overseeing all procurement and purchasing functions within a luxury private game reserve. This position ensures efficient supply chain management, strong cost control, and effective stock handling in a remote lodge environment while maintaining compliance with internal controls and audit standards. ? Key Responsibilities: ? Procurement & Supply Chain Management • Implement and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal controls and audit requirements • Manage the full procurement cycle, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of goods • Anticipate operational needs to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential items • Continuously review procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs ? Supplier & Contract Management • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships • Manage supplier onboarding, credit applications, and records • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts • Resolve supplier issues proactively and professionally ? Stock Control & Inventory Management • Oversee all stock management processes across departments • Minimise wastage, shrinkage, and stock losses • Coordinate and supervise monthly stock takes • Manage store categories including food, beverages, consumables, maintenance, chemicals, and equipment ? Financial & Reporting • Prepare and manage procurement budgets • Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities • Produce accurate monthly procurement and stock reports • Support financial controls and reporting standards ? Team Leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop the stores team • Ensure team efficiency and adherence to operational standards • Foster accountability and strong performance culture ? Minimum Requirements: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement or purchasing role (hospitality preferred) • Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sage X3) • Experience with HMS Infor advantageous • Strong numerical, analytical, and budgeting skills • Excellent command of English (written and verbal) ?
