Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Operations Manager Luxury Beach Property- Zanzibar Key Requirements 3+ years’ experience as an Operational Manager, General Manager, or senior hospitality leader . Strong knowledge of full hotel operations ; including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Security and Guest Services. Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work under pressure in a demanding hospitality environment. Proven track record of delivering high guest satisfaction and exceptional service . Strong financial understanding, including budgeting; forecasting and cost control . Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, preferably with experience in Zanzibar or a comparable environment. Passion for sustainability; local sourcing and community engagement . Flexible; hands-on approach suited to a small boutique hotel environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily hotel operations and ensure smooth coordination across departments. Manage bookings, OTA channels, direct bookings, guest communications, check-ins and check-outs. Drive guest satisfaction ; handle complaints and monitor online reviews and feedback. Lead; recruit, train, motivate and develop the hotel team. Conduct daily property inspections and maintain high standards of quality; cleanliness, maintenance and safety . Manage staffing levels, schedules and departmental performance. Oversee financial administration, budgets, sales reporting, COGS, expenditure and profitability. Develop sales and marketing initiatives focused on attracting and retaining family guests. Build relationships with tour operators, excursion providers, local suppliers and community partners. Implement sustainable practices covering waste, water, energy, food and local sourcing. Ensure compliance with local employment, health, safety and regulatory requirements. Develop family-friendly activities, experiences, meal options and hotel packages. Work with directors on strategic planning, performance improvement and long-term hotel growth .
