Job Title: Network Technician

Job Summary 

We are seeking a reliable Network Technician with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure. The role requires strong technical fundamentals, practical troubleshooting skills, and entry-to-mid-level network certifications. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Install, configure, and support network hardware including routers, switches, and access points 
  

• Perform basic configuration and maintenance of LAN and WAN networks 
  

• Monitor network connectivity and respond to incidents and outages 
  

• Troubleshoot network, cabling, and connectivity issues 
  

• Support firewall, VPN, and wireless network operations under guidance 
  

• Perform network upgrades, patching, and equipment replacements 
  

• Maintain network inventory, documentation, and cabling layouts 
  

• Coordinate with network engineers and vendors for issue resolution 
  

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• 3–5 years of experience as a Network Technician or IT Support role 
  

• Strong understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN) 
  

• Hands-on experience with cabling, patch panels, and network devices 
  

• Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing systems 
  

• Ability to follow SOPs and work independently or in a team 
  

Certifications 

• Network+ (N+), CCNA, or equivalent network certification (mandatory) 
  

Nice to Have 

• Basic knowledge of wireless technologies and network security 
  

• Exposure to cloud or virtual networking environments 
  

• Experience supporting remote or distributed users 
  

Work Mode 

• Onsite: Africa-based locations 
  

• Remote: Available based on role and operational requirements
