Safari JOBS is recruiting for a passionate, professional and guest-focused Nature Site / Trails Guide for a luxury lodge environment situated in a sought-after Big Five region. The role will suit a well-presented, physically fit and conservation-minded guide with FGASA NQF 2 Nature Site Guide as a minimum, together with valid guiding licences, First Aid, PrDP and relevant registration. Trails-related qualifications and experience will be a strong advantage for candidates suitably qualified to conduct walks. VPDA; ARH & SAPS competency; North West Bush Lane qualification (30/20/10 or 15/10/5); FGASA NQF 4 Nature Site & / Trails Guide; Existing North West private reserve / lodge experience; ??? ???????????????? Conduct morning and afternoon game drives in an open safari vehicle, offering informative and engaging wildlife interpretations. Trails / walks – if adequately qualified and experienced to do so; Track and identify wildlife, with a strong focus on the Big Five, birds, plants, and ecosystems of the reserve. Share knowledge of conservation, ecology, and local culture in an engaging and professional manner. Ensure the safety and comfort of guests at all times during game drives and bush activities. Maintain clear radio communication with lodge management and other guides. Welcome guests and build rapport to enhance their overall safari experience. Assist with guest briefings and lodge inductions when required. Handle guest questions and requests professionally and with enthusiasm. Adapt guiding style to suit diverse age groups, interests, and experience levels. Maintain safari vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance issues promptly. Ensure guiding equipment (radios, binoculars, first-aid kits) is operational and well maintained. Support lodge operations as required during peak periods. Adhere strictly to lodge policies, park regulations, and environmental best practices. Promote responsible tourism and conservation ethics at all times. ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? Basic monthly gross remuneration of R9, 000.00 for NQF 2 / 4 (Further negotiable if a Trails Guide); Excellent gratuity earning potential – approx. R10 – R19k (paid 15th of each month); Fully furnished private accommodation and meals are provided, either as a fully inclusive Tier A or a Tier B with a R3,000 monthly deductible (inclusive of rent, meals and utilities), depending on the housing grade available at your start date; Provident fund – 25% employer after 1st 3 months contribution (not compulsory); Performance based bonus at the discretion of the company; Uniform; Laundry facilities available for usage; Opportunities for training and development within luxury hospitality; Working within a welcoming, family-orientated and supportive guiding team environment Work Cycle: Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rotation of: 24 days on, 6 days off + 15 leave days per annum. ??????????? ???????
