Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Senior Pastry Chef De Partie for a luxury safari camp situated in the Vaalwater region. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented pastry professional who is confident in leading a pastry team and delivering high-quality, beautifully presented baked goods and desserts in a refined hospitality environment.
? Key Responsibilities:
Lead the pastry team in daily operations and service
Prepare a wide range of desserts, pastries, breads, and baked items
Maintain consistent quality, taste, and presentation standards
Assist in dessert menu planning and innovation
Monitor inventory and assist with stock control and ordering
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld
Collaborate with the Head Chef and broader kitchen team
✅ Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior pastry position within a luxury or high-end hospitality setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a pastry team
Formal culinary or patisserie training preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and organisation
Ability to perform under pressure and deliver consistently high standards
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
