As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Field Engineer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster
About the role
- Provide on-site engineering support to construction teams and contractors.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications and resolve technical issues in the field.
- Conduct inspections and ensure mechanical works meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Verify that installations comply with EPCM contract specifications and industry codes.
- Liaise with project managers, design engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure timely delivery of mechanical components and services.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
- Recommend design modifications or field adjustments when necessary.
- Ensure all mechanical work is performed in accordance with site safety protocols.
- Support environmental compliance related to mechanical systems and installations.
About you
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects 3–5 years.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with site safety standards and EPCM processes.
- Proficiency in engineering software and reporting tools.
