Management Couple – Luxury River Lodge | Greater Kruger, Mpumalanga

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Management Couple to oversee the daily operations of a luxury river lodge in the Greater Kruger region. This opportunity is ideal for a hospitality-driven couple with complementary skills, strong leadership abilities and a shared passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences within a high-end safari environment.

The successful candidates will work closely together to ensure the smooth running of the lodge, maintain exceptional service standards and lead the team in creating memorable experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring all departments function efficiently.
  

• Maintain exceptional standards of guest service, hospitality and attention to detail.
  

• Welcome guests, manage arrivals and departures, and ensure personalised service throughout their stay.
  

• Lead, supervise and motivate staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  

• Coordinate housekeeping, food and beverage service, maintenance and general lodge operations.
  

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that rooms, public areas and facilities are maintained to luxury standards.
  

• Handle guest feedback, requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  

• Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance management and daily briefings.
  

• Monitor stock control, purchasing, budgets and operational costs where required.
  

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
  

• Work closely with the kitchen and guiding teams to coordinate daily activities and enhance the overall guest experience.
  

• Manage administrative responsibilities, reporting and operational planning.
  

• Lead by example, encouraging teamwork, accountability and a culture of excellence.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Lodge Management Couple or in senior lodge management positions within a luxury safari environment.
  

• A strong understanding of lodge operations, guest relations and hospitality standards.
  

• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of individual responsibilities.
  

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  

• A hands-on, solutions-driven approach to daily operations.
  

• Financial awareness and experience with stock control, cost management and budgeting would be advantageous.
  

• A professional, guest-focused attitude and a genuine passion for the safari industry.
  

• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varied hours as required.
  

Salary: R50,000 – R55,000 per month for the couple, depending on experience.

Location: Greater Kruger, Mpumalanga.
