Management Couple – Luxury Safari Camp (Botswana) FOH; BOH, Guiding & Operations A luxury safari camp is seeking an experienced Management Couple to oversee full Front of House, Back of House, guiding, guest experience, staff leadership, and operational management. This is a hands‑on, live‑in role suited to a mature couple with strong hospitality, guiding, administrative and maintenance capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. General Camp Management Implement; monitor and maintain all operational standards and SOPs. Uphold company values and foster a positive, professional team culture. Submit monthly operational updates to senior leadership. Drive effective stock management, ordering and cost control. 2. Guest Relations (FOH Partner Lead) Meet; greet and brief guests on camp facilities and safety. Act as the main point of contact throughout the guest stay. Allocate guest accommodation and communicate special requirements to relevant staff. Liaise with kitchen on dietary needs and special meal requests. Coordinate guest movements, activities, drop‑offs and pick‑ups. Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely follow‑up. Maintain accurate guest movement records. 3. Front of House Operations (FOH Partner Lead) Ensure FOH standards are consistently met across lodge, bar, dining and communal areas. Supervise bar staff and ensure correct service standards. Maintain daily bar stock levels. Oversee cleanliness and presentation of lodge areas, curio shop and all guest facilities. Ensure furniture, fittings and décor are clean and in good working order. Oversee correct table settings, cutlery, glassware and crockery for all meals. Ensure hygienic food display and service in collaboration with chefs. Assist with serving meals when required. Maintain adequate stock of FOH equipment and tableware. 4. Guiding & Activities (Guiding Partner Lead) Allocate guides to guests and manage guiding schedules. Monitor daily guide performance and ensure adherence to company standards. Oversee quality of activities offered to guests. Mentor; coach and motivate guides. Recommend additional training where needed. Conduct guided activities personally where qualified (FGASA or equivalent). 5. Vehicles & Maintenance (Guiding/BOH Partner Lead) Monitor correct usage of all camp vehicles. Ensure service schedules are followed. Conduct vehicle handovers and maintain cleanliness and readiness. Report maintenance issues promptly. Oversee upkeep of guest and staff accommodation, camp facilities and equipment. Coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks. Control maintenance stock and fuel usage. Engage external technicians for specialised repairs. 6. Administration Prepare and submit monthly operational reports. Complete weekly and monthly orders within deadlines. Ensure weekly and monthly stock takes are completed accurately. Follow up on miscellaneous orders and deliveries. Maintain operational records and documentation. 7. Staff Management Lead and manage all staff in line with company objectives and performance standards. Allocate staff accommodation, rations, uniforms and footwear. Issue daily tasks and monitor completion. Record and address performance discrepancies; conduct counselling where required. Conduct bi‑annual performance appraisals with all staff. Recommend training and development opportunities. Mentor staff daily to achieve required standards. Resolve staff issues and manage poor performance with HR support. Ensure all staff deliver exceptional guest service at all times. REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a lodge or camp management couple. Strong FOH, BOH, guiding and operational skills. Excellent communication, leadership and guest‑relations abilities. Solid maintenance and problem‑solving skills. High level of professionalism, reliability and attention to detail. Guiding partner must hold a recognised guiding qualification (e.g., FGASA).
