This exciting opportunity is ideal for a seasoned guide looking to combine exceptional safari guiding ; wildlife interpretation, and guest hosting with operational involvement and leadership exposure within a luxury lodge environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering world-class safari experiences while supporting the day-to-day operations of the lodge and assisting with management responsibilities when required. As a Senior Ranger, you will be responsible for conducting engaging Big 5 game drives and guided bush walks, sharing your knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, conservation, and birdlife with guests from around the world. You will have the opportunity to provide unforgettable wildlife encounters while ensuring the highest standards of guest safety, hospitality, and service excellence are maintained at all times. The role also offers valuable exposure to lodge leadership and operational oversight, making it an excellent opportunity for a guide looking to progress into a future management role. You will work closely with the lodge management team, assist with staff coordination, maintain guiding standards, support lodge operations, and occasionally step into a relief management position during management leave periods. Job Requirements Minimum 3–5 years' experience within a luxury safari lodge environment FGASA Level 2 qualification (Level 4 advantageous or in progress) Valid DEAT / NDT Registration Valid First Aid Certificate Valid PDP Driver's Licence Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) Strong birding knowledge and interpretive Guiding ability Experience conducting Big 5 game drives and guided walks Proven off-road driving and vehicle maintenance experience Excellent guest hosting and storytelling skills Ability to support Management and oversee Lodge operations when required Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Passion for conservation, wildlife, and guest experiences Clear criminal record and all legal compliance requirements in place Package Salary dependent on experience Unfurnished accommodation provided Uniform provided Opportunity to gain valuable Management experience Work within a luxury Lodge environment Couples will be considered Start Date ASAP
