The Room Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring guest rooms and designated areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented according to the hotel’s quality standards. You will feel right at home in this role if you take pride in your work, pay attention to the smallest details, and enjoy working within a structured, professional hospitality environment. Minimum Requirements Matric Certificate (Grade 12) Current housekeeping experience within a hotel min 2 years Strong understanding of room cleaning standards and procedures Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and time management Professional attitude and good personal presentation Valid South African ID or work permit CV must be fully updated prior to submission Key Responsibilities Guest Room Cleaning & Preparation Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, ensuring rooms are prepared efficiently and accurately for arrivals, stayovers, and departures. Room Presentation & Quality Control Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, linen, amenities, and surfaces meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards. Public Area Support Assist with cleaning corridors, service areas, and assigned public spaces when required. Linen & Supplies Management Ensure housekeeping trolleys are stocked with linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies required for daily duties. Maintenance Reporting Identify and report maintenance issues or room defects to the relevant department promptly. Guest Interaction Respond politely and professionally to guest requests when approached and escalate concerns where required.
