?️ Camp Manager | 5-Star Luxury Safari Lodge | Remote Kalahari, Northern Cape Salary: Highly Negotiable Depending on Experience | Live-In | Permanent Position Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Camp Manager (or a suitable Lodge Manager & Field Guide Couple ) for an exclusive 5-star safari property based in the breathtaking and remote Kalahari wilderness. This is a rare opportunity to take on a leadership role at a world-renowned luxury lodge that combines conservation, warm hospitality, and truly unforgettable guest experiences. ? Key Responsibilities: Lodge Operations & Guest Experience Oversee all daily lodge operations, ensuring exceptional standards of service and hospitality. Personally host and engage with high-profile international guests. Handle guest feedback professionally, ensuring consistent 5-star experiences. Staff Management Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across front of house, housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance. Manage team schedules, performance reviews, training and development. Create a positive and professional team culture aligned with luxury lodge standards. Finance & Administration Monitor operational budgets, food and beverage costings, stock control and procurement. Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, accurate reporting to head office. Ensure compliance with health, safety and employment regulations. Property & Maintenance Oversight Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to ensure the upkeep of lodge infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment. Maintain high levels of hygiene, safety and preventative maintenance across the lodge. Community & Sustainability Foster respectful and constructive relationships with local communities and conservation partners. Support the lodge’s sustainability initiatives and responsible tourism values. ? Candidate Profile: Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior lodge management role (preferably in remote and 5* lodge environments). Hospitality Background: Strong understanding of guest experience, F&B service, and front-of-house operations in a high-end lodge setting. Leadership: Confident leader with strong team management, people skills, and emotional intelligence. Adaptability: Thrives in remote environments with resilience, initiative, and self-discipline. Administration: Strong financial acumen and operational reporting abilities. Presentation: Well-groomed, confident and guest-facing with exceptional interpersonal communication. Tech-savvy: Proficient in MS Office and property management systems (experience with stock and booking systems advantageous). Driver’s Licence: Valid licence is essential. ?
